Long time. Doesn’t mean I haven’t been thinking about you or keeping you in my prayers. I wanted to check on you to see how you’re doing.
I also wanted to let you know my mother passed November 22. I am ok. I miss her, but I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to speak with you, share our stories and pray with you. I will forever been in your debt for the kindness, wisdom and genuine care you showed to my mother and me.
I will always keep you in my heart and in my prayers. You are one in a million and I am truly blessed to have witness your grace.
I wish you nothing but joy, peace and success. God bless you. May your holiday season be filled with laughter and song.
They are doing an awesome job with my mother at ManorCare Rehab Center – Marietta. She has some memory issues so the adjustment has been up and down, but I really do think this was the best place for her given her recent stroke. I have been going there everyday, trying to get her used to the place. Every night I have dinner with the “Golden Girls”. No one can remember anything from the day before so it is interesting(lol). They are really all adorable and we have some amusing conversations. Thank you again for recommending this place. It really is perfect for my Mom. You are amazing Jona. None of this would be possible without your help.
Jona did a wonderful job for my family. She was very professional and personable. She listened intently to what I was looking for to serve my mother. We toured several facilities and with her help, I narrowed options down to two. After talking with both Executive Directors and visiting on more than one occasion, I made a decision.
We chose Ivy Hall and it has been just perfect for my mother. She is quite content there. The staff is kind and skilled and helpful. Michael Patterson, the Executive Director is excellent, with just the right part of heart and professional experience to run a high quality Assisted Living Center. I am very happy with my choice and would have been completely overwhelmed without Jona’s guidance and support.
Jona with Care Guide has been able to help some of my patients and their family members when they are feeling the most helpless. She has brought a piece a mind to families when they are at a point they feel they have lost their marbles. She approaches each challenge with compassion and tenacity as if was advocating for her own family member. When families are grieving for the old independent life they had, she brings hope to the new stage of life they are now in with trustworthy providers that are just as caring and compassionate as she is.
As an assisted living community that is dedicated to personal care, personal service and personal connections, it is a win-win to partner with referral sources such as Care Guide that share that same belief and dedication. Their individualized approach and time spent in getting to know the specific needs, likes and concerns of both the family and potential resident makes for a more successful selection and smooth transition for all involved! They truly care…and it shows.
I would recommend Jona Payne to anyone who doesn’t know where to begin their search for finding senior care (for themselves or a family member) in the Atlanta area. She is tenacious, well-connected and will work hard to find a home that works for her clients. She listens to the needs of her clients first and follows through quickly. Highly recommend!
Jona Payne and her team are indispensable when it comes to helping families in crisis; with the tough decisions families face and must make for their loved ones. The Care Guide team is not only highly recognized and respected in industry but it shows in all they do. They are knowledgeable, experienced, thorough and compassionate. Every Care Guide employee has in one way or the other been touched by, worked in the industry and/or had a family member of their own whom they have been faced with making the very same decisions every client/family must make. Not only do they guide families from the industry side -perspective, but also from a personal side-experience. I tell all of my friends who find themselves faced with the decisions so many in our age group are being faced with, that there is absolutely no reason to try to figure all of this out alone when there is a company with a team who offers a free service to families who is ready, willing and able to guide them, not only every step of the way, but steps ahead. I and my family are very pleased with the guidance, help, understanding, advice, “service” that Jona has provided in the past as well as for me currently. You don’t have to be in crisis mode to reach out to them. Care Guide can help you plan in advance for a loved ones needs. They can guide you through paper work, state-to-state transfers, VA / Government regulations and paper work, insurance, senior care law and finance, what to do with a family home, medicare/medicaid, etc, they can even notarize papers for families if needed. You don’t have to search anything; they do all the work, set up the appointments and tour every community with every family so you only see the places that are right for your family member with no fears or unanswered questions. Let them do the work so you can focus on loving your family member in need, of the kind of care they deserve, and the peace you desire. I highly recommend Jona Payne and Care Guide.
You are truly a kind person and your willingness to take time to meet with us was so appreciated. Thank you very much for the information. Pete and I went to the community you recommended – it has private room available and we actually liked it better! I think Dad will agree also, plus it’s open. So again, thank you so much.
Have a nice weekend!
Just wanted to let you know my mom passed away peacefully Monday evening about 8:30 pm with me holding one hand and her grandson hold the other. My son’t best friend’s grandmother passed away one week earlier. Thank you for pushing me to hospice when you did.
I just wanted to thank you for being my angel here on earth, you helped me through some really tough times, my words can not express how much I appreciate you, I would highly recommend you for any family going through this.
I believe the Lord sent you to help me find Andrea and Mercy Point Personal Care Home. It is truly the answer to my prayers. It is perfect! We all met the ladies again, including the two we didn’t meet yesterday. One of them is Catholic, like my mom! I know my mom’s preference is to be here with me, but she had nothing negative to say. Thank you so much. My husband will be looking soon for his parents. So we will definitely stay in touch.
Thank you so much for spending some time with me this morning. Your nurturing spirit, compassion and professionalism is an asset to everyone you come in contact with. I was very inspired by your journey and your dedication and commitment to the process. I think we are the same in the sense we find joy in service. At the end of the day it’s truly what’s in the best interest of those looking for a place to call home.
It would be my pleasure to refer those to you that are in need of further assistance and look forward to working alongside of you to ensure your prospects are educated and engaged in working towards a place in the next stage of their life.
Partnering with people to be active, to be engaged and to be at home is what we do best.
Have a memorable day!
Hi! – I ran into Joe at the store and in sharing my day, he told me you moved your loved one back home. I care for my 87 year old mother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s. We moved her into a memory care community yesterday, from an assisted living, after 3 years. So far, so good. She has a really nice suite that opens onto a courtyard. I thought the concept will give the illusion of freedom.I worked with Jona, who is extraordinary at what she does. It was no easy task, to make a decision, as to who takes care of mom or dad; but she narrowed the landscape and made me 100% comfortable with my decision.I shared my wish list and budget. She found me options that were in my budget, below and above. I wanted a one 1 level facility, she gave me all of those and a few more to choose from. Her personal knowledge of each facility is priceless. Who runs it, what their background is… that kind of stuff. She also, knows, who’s running specials.I feel educated as to what is out there. At any rate, there are some wonderful facilities near us.”
Jona Payne has been a “lifeline” for my family the past few years. My Dad required several moves and Jona has always been there helping us find the appropriate placement. She is one of the most professional and caring individuals I have experienced , not only helping my Dad but caring for our family. I highly encourage Care Guide for placement of a loved one.
When facing the decision of how to take care of a loved one at one of the most vulnerable times of their lives, Jona Payne and her staff at Care Guide, Inc. are the obvious choice. No one will give you a more informed and unbiased option as to what is the best option for your loved one.
We enjoy working with Care Guide and their professional team.
